William Spence and wife Mary (Rae) Spence came from Scotland to Nova Scotia, they lived at Lakelands, Hants County, Nova Scotia, before purchasing the farm property from John Lawrence. – recorded in the Registry of Deeds, Windsor, N.S., dated November 19, 1811, in Book 9, page 182 – document 153. This Farm is marked on Churches Map of 1871.
William died in 1852, his son Andrew was appointed Administrator, Registered in Book 35 page 133, Document 102.
