World War I Project – January-March

We need your help!

The West Hants Historical Society is trying to compile a list of all the men and women from Hants County who served in World War 1 and 2. If you have relatives or friends who served in the military:

  • Please send us their names and any details you may know (rank, regiment, number, birth date & place).
  • Please tell us if you have some special information like photos, medals, post cards, or letters.
  • If your church or community center has a memorial plaque – take a photograph of the names and send it to us.

We plan to publish a book with all these names and we don’t want to leave out anyone. This includes of Hants County, from Vaughan to Shubenacadie! We would especially like to hear from some of the smaller places like Moose Brook, Noel, Milford, Rawdon, Selma, etc.

Your help would be appreciated. Send the information to research@westhantshistoricalsociety.ca
