Putting a Name to a Face: Our Third Challenge

Our next challenge in this project revolves around the photo of three young women, happily sitting on a bench with linked arms. It should be noted that this photo was found among a collection pertaining to a Katherine Anslow, so the women pictured could have a connection to her. The Anslow name is from this area, leading me to believe that the girls would have been Windsor (or nearby) residents.

In the photo, the three smiling women look to be around the same age, between their 20’s and 30’s. They are presumably sitting in front of a house. They are dressed fairly well, but the photo does not seem to be a formal one but a picture someone was able to snap in the moment.

Our records reveal that the photo was taken October 3, 1933. This would have been a Tuesday, so it is unlikely the girls have gathered for a church event. I had originally wondered if they would have been going to the local church, but that information would rule out my first thought.

As always, if you have any information that could identify these women, please contact us; we would love to hear from you.
