Museum Exhibit: World War I

100 years ago, Europe was plunged into one of the most brutal wars in history. Come to the West Hants Historical Society located at 281 King St. Windsor, NS for a look at how West Hants was affected by this Great War. The exhibit includes authentic artefacts, photographs, letters, and newspaper clippings from the First World War.

The exhibit is open Tuesday to Saturday July 22nd, 2014 to August 14th, 2014 and August 19th to August 30th.

No admission, but donations are always welcomed.

*Please note this exhibition is subject to the regular hours of operation of the Museum, which is closed Sundays and Mondays during the summer.

Oscer Barker (left), unknown (centre) and Brent Atwell (right). These soldiers were part of the 112th Battalion CEF which was formed on the 22nd of December 1915 and embarked for Great Britain on 23 July 1916.
